Milestones is a not for profit therapeutic horseback riding center in Independence, KY. I have been volunteering with them for a few years now and I love the opportunity to get outside and work with horses again. Their previous website neither represented their brand or their organization in a good light. I volunteered to redo their website with the intent to make it more user friendly and informative.
The site was challenging because it is the largest amount of content I have ever worked with and I wanted it to be easy for them to update themselves. I built it on a Wordpress platform with a custom theme. I have used Wordpress as a blogging tool in the past, but after seeing how well it worked to create a whole site I will definitely be using it for that again.
I chose to use soft colors to compliment the navy blue logo, and wanted to keep the site welcoming with photographs depicting the land and horses that they have at the facility.
